OMAHA AREA ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE 2025*
The annual Omaha St. Patrick's Day Parade sponsored by the Omaha Ancient Order of Hibernians will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2025.
The Omaha Area Emerald Society (which is made up of public safety Officers of Irish descent) is once again inviting Public Safety agencies from across the metro area to participate as part of the Emerald Society (OAES) entry. * There is no fee charged for this entry.
This year the parade route will begin at 15th & Harney St. in downtown Omaha at 11:00am that morning.
Whether you have cruisers, fire trucks, specialty equipment, an Honor Guard, or personnel; all will form a large contingent dedicated to public safety. In keeping with an idea from past years you can honor the fallen officers from your agency by walking with an American or Agency flag carried in behalf of that fallen officer during the parade. Many agencies also add a banner on these flags with the fallen officer’s name. Please advise if you wish to honor a specific fallen member and that name will be read as your agency passes by the reviewing stand along the parade route.
Any Public Safety Agency that will be participating should arrive that morning no later than the 10:15am show-up time, at the intersection of 15th & Howard St. for your parade placement.
Due to the streetcar and projected construction later in 2025 along Harney St., this may be the last year for the traditional parade route. Let's make this the biggest entry of Public Safety in the history of the parade.
I have included a video of the entire 2024 parade. The Emerald Society (OAES) Public Safety entry starts at 17:30 on the video. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/PZ4WQbpBv7o?si=j1OAR_tARrfOqbVy
Please remember that our by-laws do not allow political advertising in our parade entry. The Ancient Order of Hibernians also has a fee for persons running for office if they want to put an entry in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. All of those entries must be separate from the Emerald Society public safety entry.
The Ancient Order of Hibernians has partnered with Knock Out Print and Design to offer apparel to commemorate Omaha’s 147th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

I am the parade contact for the Emerald Society and am coordinating this on behalf of all metro area public safety agencies that wish to be in the parade. I can be contacted by cell at 402-680-2743 or email: redcopper@gmail.com. I will have additional information as the date approaches so please RSVP by email if your agency intends to participate.
